About this hub
DigitMak aims to contribute to the objectives of the Digital Europe Programme hence improving the growth and competitiveness of the SMEs and small mid-caps, as well as, to increase the digital and green transformation of the public sector organisations through provision of integrated set of an EDIH services in support of testing before investing, training and skills development, support to find investments, networking and access to innovation ecosystems. DigitMak will achieve this through the mobilisation of the efforts of the major players in this area in the country: Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM), as coordinator; Economic Chamber of North Macedonia (ECNM); Business Accelerator UKIM (BAU); and Foundation for Management and Industrial Research (MIR) as beneficiaries. It owns physical infrastructure (office, training facilities, showroom facilities, testing and experimentation equipment and laboratories). DigitMak project will cover the four strategic priority areas, specified in the Smart Specialization Strategy of North Macedonia: (1) Smart Agriculture and Food with Higher Added-Value; (2) Information and Communication Technologies (ICT); (3) Electro-Mechanical Industry - Industry 4.0; and (4) Sustainable Materials and Smart Buildings. It will provide activities complementary with the five key areas of the Digital Europe Programme: Supercomputing, Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity, Advanced digital skills, and wide use of Digital technologies across the economy and society. Digitmak will cooperate with other EDIHs and other projects from the Digital Europe Programme developing capacities. DigitMak will implement a targeted strategy aimed at building capacities and delivering value-added services that align with the Digital Europe Programme objectives. The focus will be on enhancing the digital transformation, sustainability, growth, productivity, and competitiveness of the private and public entities supported by DigitMak. To achieve this, DigitMak will adopt a gradual and systematic approach, leveraging the rapid advancements in digital technology that have created new, time-efficient, and cost-effective opportunities for both private and public sector organizations.
