EDIH SILESIA SMART SYSTEMS capacity building and deployment in the EDIH network to enhance digital transformation in the Silesia and Opolskie Voivodships in Poland

The Regional Digital Innovation Hub Silesia Smart Systems (EDIH-SILESIA) is a coordinated group of entities with complementary expertise and a not-for-profit objective to support the digital transformation of companies and public sector organisations in the Silesia and Opolskie Voivodships in Poland. EDIH-SILESIA is operating since September 2020 and is specialised in: (1) artificial intelligence (including systems for robotisation and automation), (2) cyber security and (3) additive manufacturing. The EDIH-SILESIA project consortium counts eight organisations with specific infrastructure and expertise in testing and demonstrating new solutions, skills development, networking and innovation support services focussing on business growth, digital and green transformation and identification of financing for investments. EDIH-SILESIA shall closely cooperate with other EDIHs in Poland and Europe, with DTA and EEN, as such will act as an access point to the European network of EDIHs and create synergies with EEN. As a result of the project, EDIH-SILESIA shall gain new competencies, strengthen its position in the EDIH-network and have been supporting over 150 companies (testing-before-investing, advice, skill development) in preparing for and providing digital transformation.
