FinTech Copernicus Hub (FTCH) is an academic centre of competence in the application of FinTech - the use of digital technologies and information from transaction data in finance and decision-making processes. The main objective of the FTCH is to increase the use of the latest digital technologies by SMEs, corporations and the public sector. It works to support the digital transformation of enterprises through services such as: training and skills building, enabling testing before investment, support in finding sources of investment financing, facilitating access to innovation ecosystems within the EDIH cooperation network. market research and comprehensive R&D services. Services are offered to two groups of entities: A. FinTech Providers – Providers and potential providers of digital finance services, e.g., ICT companies looking to enter the FinTech sector and FinTech start-ups. B. FinTech Users – Recipients of digital finance services, SMEs from other industries, in particular e-commerce and accounting firms, PSOs. The activity of FTCH as EDIH extends the work of the Center for Digital Economy and Finance of the Nicolaus Copernicus University (CDEF UMK) in Toruń, a leading FinTech research, development and education centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Currently, the FTCH, for example, seeks to fully exploit the potential of open banking created in the EU through the PSD2 regulation. The most important technological areas in which FTCH specialises are: Payments and accounting (service and automation) API for open data and open finance Artificial intelligence and decision support Big Data Blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT) Cybersecurity Thanks to the staff potential and infrastructure of Nicolaus Copernicus University and the expert resources of the project partners, including chambers of commerce with a network of thousands of SMEs, reaching customers and achieving the goals of FTCH will be highly effective.
