About this hub

Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) is the Digital Innovation Hub (DIH). As the central part of development, digitization and industrial relations at national and international level, the hub is establishing a system of collaboration between the IJS research departments, the domestic and foreign economy, and the partner networks within the Europe Enterprise Europe Network. The hub provides “one-stop shops” and cross-border technology transfer services in the EU and serves as a contact point for the local ecosystem in Slovenia. Jožef Stefan Institute DIH is an EDIH DIGI-SI that fosters the digital transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, scale-ups and Public Administration in four strategic priority areas identified in the forthcoming Slovenian smart specialisation strategy: Agri-food, Health, Tourism and Manufacturing. DIGI-SI has access to crucial infrastructure and highly skilled personnel central to foster the digital revolution in both NUTS2 regions of Slovenia and in Europe. The consortium consisting of seven partners with proven complementary expertise in digital transformation support, will take advantage of the existing resources and provide a single point of contact in all four priority areas of Digital Europe Programme: Artificial Intelligence, High Performance Computing, Cyber Security and Advanced Digital Skills. DIGI-SI also offers technology services within Robotics, Internet of Things, Big data, Blockchain and Augmented / Virtual reality. DIGI-SI delivers 70 services on entry, basic, and advanced levels and offer collaboration opportunities to Slovenian ICT players to become external digital technology/service providers providing complementary services to local and EU companies through the DIGI-SI online shop enabling matchmaking in demand and supply of digital resources.
