About this hub

Organised in a consortium, the Loire Valley Data Hub is the one-stop shop in Centre-Val de Loire region to support digital transformation of public administrations & companies. working in key sectors of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialisation (RIS3) of Centre-Val de Loire.It will support them in exploitation and enhancement of data, through digital technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing). Completely in line with the Regional Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialisation (RIS3) of Centre Val de Loire, the project addresses the exploitation and enhancement of data, on the key areas for the region, namely: cosmetics, health, environment, and agri-food. By bringing together regional actors around a common challenge, the EDIH is pooling skills and services to meet the growing needs of companies and public administrations for digital technologies and thus, generate economic, social, and environmental benefits. The aim is to help them implement key technologies in data management (using Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing and Cybersecurity). The support provided will enable these organisations to meet the challenges related to data production, integration, exchange, and exploitation in their respective fields, with a perspective of sustainable development. Indeed, the multiple activities deployed on the territories generate the production of numerous digital data. Digital transformation is a major challenge for the competitiveness of regional SMEs, particularly for the above-mentioned key sectors. Indeed, these companies, as well as the public players, are required to manage various types of resources (environmental, plant or animal, or even human). As a result, the exploitation of the data inherent in the management of these resources makes it possible to respond to strong societal and market needs, which are the preservation of the environment, food and health and well-being.
