About this hub

The Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Fokus Mensch, which can be translated as a SME Digital Centre with the name "Focus on Humans", supports SMEs in identifying the expectations of their users, consumers and corporate customers, rethinking their own product strategy, finding suitable cooperation partners and trying out and establishing the methods and approaches of human-centred digitalisation in their own company in order to position themselves sustainably. This is done along six main topics: Human-centred innovation and design Fairness and diversity Wellbeing and resilience Digital sovereignty Sustainable transformation Artificial intelligence Our goal is supporting SMEs in human-centred digitalisation. The aim is to sensitise and qualify companies for the potential and procedures of human-centricity. To this end, we offer workshops, practical projects and self-learning opportunities to support companies in implementing human-centred approaches. We also focus on networking companies and sharing experiences in order to accelerate the spread of positive experiences and promote sustainable transformation in SMEs. Fokus Mensch is part of the network "Mittelstand Digital Zentren" which is a national programme in Germany: Mittelstand-Digital offers guidance for small and medium-sized enterprises and the skilled crafts as they embrace the digital transformation, and informs them about the opportunities and challenges of digitisation. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action makes it possible for all of these services to be rendered free of charge. Mittelstand-Digital Innovation Hubs are part of the nationwide Mittelstand-Digital network The Hubs in the nationwide network support small and medium-sized enterprises and the skilled crafts throughout Germany on an impartial basis by providing: Expert knowledge, workshops and training sessions, demonstration centers, discussion, networking and information events, practial examples on the topic of digitalization. The AI instructors based at the Hubs also offer special support on all issues relating to the use of artificial intelligence – for beginners through to experienced users. Keywords: Research
