About this hub

MIGHTY EDIH (MIGHTY) will contribute to the European digital and green transition of SMEs, small-midcaps and public entities (Target groups), with special focus on Manufacturing industry and Govtech all over Europe. Building on a vast experience of bringing these sectors together in already ongoing cross-border collaborations, this combination will be a strong driver for innovative and silo-breaking digital and green transition of local companies and public actors. MIGHTY is based in two cohesive NUTS-2 regions (North Middle Sweden and Middle Norrland) covering 30 % of Sweden's area. Twinning together the regional S3-strategies for smart specialization with the European strategic goals for digital and green transition, MIGHTY will contribute from both a bottom-up and top-down perspective to make Europe climate neutral by 2050 in accordance with the Paris Agreement by strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of European industry and speed up the uptake and digitalisation within the public sector. Project partners will function as One-Stop-Shop, ensuring wide-spread local presence offering all EDIH-services foreseen in all regions in the spirit that all SMEs should have access to an EDIH within working distance. Cooperation with regional Industrial Networks is key in reach out to manufacturing SME in all regions. MIGHTY is built on long time established and well recognized non-profit-organizations already functioning as regional digital innovation hubs and science parks. This consortium is coordinated by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and has a strong backing from the regions as well as from the four regional universities. Joining forces in MIGHTY means the consortium will evolve further and faster to better support target groups by leveraging and exchanging services, experience, and know-how of each other and of EDIHs across Europe, supporting the goals in DIGITAL and European Green Deal.
