Cybersecurity and user protection – our key activities involve ensuring security online. Responding to network security violations occurring in Poland and coordinating corrective actions is the responsibility of the Centre for Cybersecurity. The Center for Standardization and Certification of NASK-PIB, an organizational unit included in the internal Organizational Regulations within NASK acts as an accredited Certification Body. The center certifies products in the field of IT security (cybersecurity). With the enactment of the Act on the national cybersecurity systems, NASK was given the important role of serving as one of three nation-wide CSIRTs. The NASK CSIRT receives and analyses reports, takes actions and coordinates responses to incidents occurring in Polish civilian cyberspace reported by key service operators, digital service providers, local authorities and individuals. It also responds to incidents involving the uploading of content which is illegal or poses a hazard to children; as well as monitoring online threats and the level of cybersecurity in individual sectors and the entire country.
