About this hub

NEST, based in Tirana and operated within the Albanian Development Fund ecosystem, is a Seal of Excellence European Digital Innovation Hub supporting the digital transformation of organisations in Albania. It focuses on the smart city, transport and mobility, and travel and tourism sectors, building capacity in technologies including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, high-performance computing, location-based applications, sensors and vision systems, micro- and nanoelectronics, simulation and emerging quantum technologies.

The hub offers test-before-invest and prototyping, innovation management, vocational training and digital skills, smart-specialisation and regional-development support, and ecosystem building. It primarily serves SMEs and public-sector bodies in Albania seeking to adopt advanced digital technologies and strengthen the national innovation ecosystem.
