About this hub
The R.O.M.E. Digital Hub - also called R.O.M.E. - main objective is to accelerate the digital transformation of SMEs and Public Sector Organizations (PSOs), by offering them innovative and affordable services covering an extensive area including Northern and Central Italy with a focus on the Lazio Region. The R.O.M.E. network of partners is composed of organizations such as SMEs, Technology Parks, Universities, R&D Centres, Entrepreneurial Associations as well as a DIH, having suitable knowledge and experience to achieve the mentioned goal. The R.O.M.E. strength lies indeed in first instance in the already existing synergy among partners as well as in the management capacity and long expertise of the Coordinator, hosting several companies in its technology park. Secondly, SMEs Consortium and the Coordinator both have been supporting SMEs for a long time and they are familiar with small business issues, thereby making the R.O.M.E. proposal suitable for properly overcoming the barriers to the digital transformation. The R.O.M.E. services catalogue covers the key technologies High Performance Computing, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence - the main technology - as well as Advanced Digital Skills such as IoT, Blockchain and Computer Vision. The R.O.M.E. expected results for SMEs are: establishing networks to strengthen their investment capacity, creating shared investment processes and facilitating the industrialization of R&D projects, also in order to promote future mergers and integrations between similar realities to acquire or strengthen the competitiveness in a specific sector. As to PSOs: a better understanding of the community needs with a positive impact on citizens, a higher level of quality services and a modern innovative attitude in finding new solutions to digitalization challenges.
